Watermark Online is an image editing software by Diego Semmler that labels important scanned documents, such as ID cards, passports, driver's licenses, etc., thus making identity theft more difficult.
The entered text, plus the current date if desired, is inserted in various layers using different, sometimes randomly generated, fonts, sizes, and colors. Noise is added to the image where the text is located to prevent the original image from being recovered. However, AI can now effectively remove or even change such watermarks, so it's best to use them sparingly.
The images are processed only in the browser and are not transferred to my server.
